Basic Information
The Bilzi family has been producing and maturing Parmigiano Reggiano since the beginning of the last century. It was, in fact, Oreste Bilzi who first dedicated himself to managing his own dairy farm in a small village in the Lower Parma area in the early 1900s. The years of the Second World War and a series of unfortunate vicissitudes forced the family to give up the dairy but Oreste's grandson, who was a child in those years, remained in the heart of the passion inherited from his grandfather for the world of cheese and from the first years of school he showed his interest in agricultural studies. It was precisely with the knowledge acquired at school, with the secrets learned from his grandfather and with good experience gained in the sector that Oreste decided to found Zabo form in the 1960s. From then to today many steps have been taken and the company, which still has the maturing of Parmigiano Reggiano as its "core business", has included other traditional Emilian products in order to offer a complete service. Oreste currently dispenses valuable advice and suggestions to his children who have chosen to continue the business and who knows, he may also be able to pass on the same passion to his nephew who, by a twist of fate, is called Oreste.
